Bee You began with Ed Weller and Terrence Vyfhuis listening to the people in their barber chairs. In Arizona’s dry desert climate, clients wanted an everyday routine that helped keep hair moisturized, soft and looking its best. Those conversations became the inspiration for Bee You.

From the barbershop to Bee You.

The founders’ magazine feature, written by Florence Daniels with photography by Ashley Blake, traces the brand’s beginnings to their shared barbering experience and interest in thoughtful hair care. Ed’s background in exercise science and wellness and Terrence’s engineering background and ten years of Navy service brought different perspectives to the same goal: creating a hair-care brand with purpose.

Both founders earned their barber licenses in Arizona. Terrence’s work at The Cut Barbershop in Tempe helped keep that purpose close to the people and everyday routines that inspired it.
